OnStep MaxPCB4 for Hexaxes MountOne
The OnStep MaxPCB4 is the recommended control system for the Hexaxes MountOne GOTO mount. Designed to provide high-performance telescope control, this PCB is the bridge between Hexaxes’ world-class mechanical engineering and the powerful, open-source OnStep software stack.
Choose Your Build Level:
1. PCB Only (The DIY Route)
For the experienced maker who already has a stocked workbench. You will receive the bare MaxPCB4 high-quality printed circuit board and the SMT components mounted on the PCB.
Best for: Builders who want to source their own boutique components or already have a parts bin ready to go.
2. PCB + Full Components
Take the guesswork out of sourcing. This kit includes the MaxPCB4 board plus every through hole resistor, capacitor, header, and connector required to finish the build.
Best for: Builders who want the satisfaction of soldering their own board without the headache of multiple Mouser or DigiKey orders.
Includes: PCB plus all components, sockets, connectors and three LV8729 drivers.
3. Fully Assembled & Tested (Plug-and-Play)
Get your MountOne under the stars faster. This board comes fully soldered, and bench-tested for continuity and logic.
Best for: Astronomers who want to focus on the mechanical assembly and 3D printing of the MountOne without worrying about soldering tiny components.
Includes: A fully populated MaxPCB4, flashed with configuration and ready for your MountOne.
